Make practice reviewable

A demo account helps you learn the platform and test defined rules without risking real funds. Execution may differ from a live account, so demo success is not a promise of future results.

What should you record?

  • Date, instrument, timeframe and session.
  • The entry reason under a written rule, and planned stop and target.
  • Position size, planned risk, spread and any displayed commission.
  • The outcome and whether you followed or changed the plan.

Review process before outcome

A disciplined trade can lose, while a rule-breaking trade can win. Separate rule adherence from the result of one trade. Review a group of observations and record rule changes with dates rather than reinterpreting past decisions.

Progress in clear steps

Start with the Foundation book, then use the glossary and calculator to understand terms and sizing. Move through SMC according to book eligibility stages and team review. Do not deposit before understanding the risks, and do not treat demo practice as a test that guarantees readiness for live trading.
